Overall, I enjoyed reading a discussing this book. It made things that were already prominent in the world today more obvious to me. I really haven't learned very many new things besides the influence of Asia, Abundance, and Automation in the world today. I already kind of knew that we would have a shift in reality, which we would have to have a different set of skills to prosper in the coming age. I might not have stated it before or realized it before, but I did know that something would have to change because of how developed technology is becoming and how cheep it is to do things over seas.
The main point that I think Pink was trying to get across in this book was that we need to live a life that is more of a whole rather than bits and pieces of our gifts being used for our betterment of life. In the afterword Pink said, "(the six senses) They reside in all of us, and need only to be nurtured into being." This is what a lot of people argue to be wrong in his book. They argue that he says that these are things that are new and need to be created in today’s society. Well, obviously they did not finish the book. He also says, "Our world moves at a furious pace..... and I hope this book provides you with the inspiration and the tools you'll need...." This is another argument of many that he thinks he is a great philosopher bringing up a bunch of new points but in reality he is only trying to inspire us and help us in the coming age so that we will not be left behind. In all I enjoyed doing the activities and will remember this book and Pink when the next time comes that I use one of the "6 Senses"
I wonder if he had six senses because of the thought of the sixth sense that makes you more in tune with the universe.
